Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one (01) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the following sanctioned research project funded by the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PM ECRG) awarded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), India.

Project Details:

• Project title: Harnessing the Potential of Nitrogen-Fixing Microbiome for Enhanced Nitrogen Use Efficiency and Sustainable Rice Production

Eligibility:
|
Essential:
Master's Degree (with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA) in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Plant Biotechnology /Plant Science or equivalent from a recognized University with an NET/ GATE qualification.
Desirable:
1. Strong academic record
2. Prior research experience in molecular biology, microbial cultures handling & processing, plant-microbe’s interactions and multi-omics (viz. NGSs transcriptomics i.e. RNA-seq and metabolomics data analysis) techniques.
Age Limit:
As per the norms of the DST-ANRF, Govt. of India for JRF recruitment.

• Duration: Initially for 12 months, extendable based on performance up to 36 months (completion of the project)
• Emoluments: For 1st & 2nd Year - ₹37,000 per month + HRA & For 3rd Year - ₹42,000 per month + HRA (HRA as per the norms of the DST-ANRF, Govt. of India applicable in Pune)

Candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth (DPU), Pune will be given preference
|

1. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration.
2. The Principal Investigator (PI) reserve the right to shortlist candidates based on academic qualifications and relevant experience.

4. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
5. Selected candidate is expected to join immediately upon selection.
